Manchester City defeats Feyenoord in the Champions League

It was a difficult game, however, Manchester City managed to secure the top spot in the Group F of the Champions League, after defeating the Dutch rivals, Feyenoord by a 1-0 score on 21st of November.

Raheem Sterling fired the decisive goal in the 88th minute, to secure the win for City.

They are the leaders in their group possessing 15 points, while their next rivals from Shakhtar Donetsk have nine. Further in the knockout stages they could play against Juventus, Bayern Munich or Real Madrid.

City still remains in the comfort zone, as even the defeat against Shakhtar won’t take their chance from participating in the next stage.

There might come tougher times for them, as the absence of one of their most influential players, Kevin de Bruyne, due to another yellow card in the Champions League, can be strongly felt.

Pep Guardiola might have a plan for such cases, and there might also be the time to release some of the players we see less in action. John Stones, another relevant player, might be absent in most of December’s games, due to an injury. Here we might see more performance from such players as Brahim Diaz and Phil Foden.

Guardiola has already been in charge 75 games for City, and this match became his 50th win. In the near future, we might see this figure drastically increase.
