Manchester City beat Wolverhampton Wanderers

It was a tense Carabao Cup game, as Manchester City finished with a draw against Wolverhampton Wanderers, but was impressive as they won by a 4-1 score in the penalty stage on 25th of October.

It was harsh game for City, as the visitors managed to highly frustrate them during the game. The Wolves emerged as the first team in this season to stand firm against City’s devastating threats. The visitors even created better chances and seemed to be almost invincible. Though a lot of pressure came from City, the Wolves had a strong defence, which gave them the opportunity to rush confidently forward.

However, as it came to penalties, the Wolves couldn’t continue their heroic action, as Claudio Bravo managed to deflect almost all of their efforts. He mustered some decisive saves to make City win with a difference of three goals.

The Wolves had it tough missing their chance to progress into the quarterfinals of the Carabao Cup, but still, they showed an impressive game by denying the Premier League leaders.

Sergio Aguero fired the last penalty to seal City’s victory, but it was evidently not his best performance. He previously equalled the all-time scorer’s record for the club, Eric Brook, and needs just one goal to overtake his position.

It was a lucky game for City as their loss could be devastating for their reputation. Though from now on, Pep Guardiola will be more careful, even before the games against weaker competitors.

Will City continue with their invincibility? Or will they experience dramatic outcomes sometime soon? You might know better! Place your bet with a Sun Bets bonus offer and choose wisely!
