Tottenham Hotspur plays a draw against Rochdale in the FA Cup

In the fifth round of the FA Cup match, Tottenham Hotspur almost gained the victory in the game against Rochdale, but suffered a late goal that resulted in a draw. The teams fought hard until the end to finish with a 2-2 draw on 18th of February.
Ian Henderson opened the score just before halftime to give hosts the lead. In the second half, the Spurs equalised the score from their new January signing, Lucas Moura.
In the second half, their game flow has improved, and it seemed that they have taken away the victory when Harry Kane gave his team the lead with his 34th goal of the season. However, Rochdale didn’t give in easily bringing it to a draw with Steve Davies’ injury-time 12-yard equaliser.
Though Rochdale resides 63 places behind the Spurs, their performance has been more confident than many could expect. Their boss, Keith Hill seemed to be relaxed as his players’ intuitive approach showed much trouble for Spurs.
Rochdale have earned a rematch through this display, and even if they might face a greater challenge at Spurs’ turf, this game will be remembered for long by their fans.
Tottenham’s boss, Mauricio Pochettino will have to review the formation of his team in the next games. Though the payers showed a lot of potentials, their play was sluggish with slow possession reactions and efforts that lacked quality. Though Lucas and Kane managed to give them the draw, they will still feel disappointed after such display.
