What Made Me Join?
I think the thing that appealed most was that unlike other betting companies who are known as betting companies, I already knew of Virgin and the many businesses operating within the brand, so I was interested to see how their gaming experienced stacked up against other platforms.
The sign up process was simple enough, you do need to verify your email address before you make a withdrawal so I find it less hassle to just do it straight away.
Once you’re all signed up and in, you can then start browsing and decide what you want to play. They have slots, casino, live casino, bingo, poker and a daily selection of free games. There is an abundance of games to choose from, all with super colourful illustrations that can sometimes be a bit confusing to look at, which leads to my main negative: lack of a search function. Most of the time I already know which game I want to play, so having to scroll through a comprehensive list of all the games they offer is a tad frustrating.
On the plus side, at least with the Control+f (Command+f on a Mac) shortcut you can find what you want fairly easily and if you don’t want to to that then everything is ordered alphabetically.
A major plus to the site is any money won also gets V*Points – you get 1 V*point for every £5 won. This can then be converted to cash or you can convert the to Flying Club Miles to use on Virgin Atlantic, something super useful if like me you are an avid airline points collector!
You can find further information about how to earn and redeem V*Points here: https://www.virgingames.com/vpoints
Pros and Cons
Pros: Huge selection of games to play, great app, V*Points
Cons: No search bar
Which Games and Slots do they have?
They have such a variety of games that I can’t eve begin to list them all here. Some of my personal favourite include the Starbusts, Lucky Wizard and Lucky Leprechaun and the live casino Blackjack.
I have just counted and they have well in excess of 150 slots so I can say confidently that there’s likely to be something for everyone there.
In terms of casino, they have everything you could ever want, including the expected games like blackjack, roulette, craps, poker and baccarat. You can also play high stakes blackjack and roulette if you are feeling extra lucky!
The live casino offerings include roulette, blackjack, money wheel, casino hold’em, baccarat, dragon tiger, ultimate Texas Hold’em and three card poker. My enjoyment of live casino comes from the interactions with the dealers, whom I’ve always found to be courteous and professional, just like ones you’d find in physical casinos! It’s fun to have that element of human interaction when you are making bets, plus you get to feel like you’re in a casino from the comfort of your living room in comfy clothes!
Virgin Games was acquired by Gamesys back in 2013, so as well as having games developed by some of the popular and well known creators, they also have games developed using Gamesys own software – like Zeus III and Cleopatra II. I find that this makes for an enjoyable but also varied experience, tailored in particular to the UK market which, as a Brit, suits me just fine.
Virgin Mobile App
The Virgin Games mobile app is available on iOS, Android and Windows. If you would like to download them, click the link relevant to your device:
For me, the most important part of an app for slots and games is that it runs smoothly and doesn’t freeze. Every time I have used the app it has ran smoothly and my experience has been enjoyable. A game has only frozen on me once and that was when my own internet was playing up, so it’s always worth baring in mind that your own internet connection plays a big part in your experience, both in an app or on a browser.
It’s always worth noting with gaming app reviews that a significant amount of them are not reviews of the app itself. From my own experience and the reviews I have read, the vast majority of customers that actually review the app and it’s functionality give positive feedback, which is reflected in the App Store (I use iOS) where I can see they currently have a 4.5/5 rating.
Deposit and Withdrawal Methods
Depositing was easy, as usual for me I used my Visa debit card. The minimum depositing amount is £10. There are several ways to make deposits, but your first deposit must be from either Visa Debit or Electron, MasterCard or Maestro UK. You can then make subsequent deposits using any of the methods mentioned, with the addition of Paysafecard, Moneybookers and Neteller.
You can find more information on depositing with Virgin Games here:
To make a withdrawal, I went into My Account and clicked the Withdraw button. You need to have at least £10 in the account to be able to make a withdrawal. Once you make a withdrawal request, it can take up to 24 hours to be reviewed by the platform. To find a full list of withdrawal methods, how long it takes to receive your funds and the maximum amount you can withdraw at a time, check out Virgin Games’ Withdrawal FAQs.
Once you have signed up and logged in, you can see on the homepage that there’s a “Promotion” button in the top right corner of the menu. In here you’ll find all the current promotions on offer, most of which you can use as an existing customer. Click here to find all current promos: Virgin Games Promotions
